Red Root Consulting is the project of Chris Gentry and Luke Seigfried. We are founded on the fundamental belief that neighborhoods, towns and cities can thrive when citizens are engaged in the place-building project. We work to advise governments, activist groups, and planners as they build out robust community engagement plans to make sure that our places are ones we build together.

Chris Gentry: Chris is an educator, organizer and program manager out of Chicago Illinois. He holds a political science degree from Appalachian State University. His work focuses around training citizens to engage with the government and political process. He currently works on transportation issues in Illinois.

Luke Seigfried: Luke is a planner and public policy analyst out of Winchester, Virginia. He holds a political science degree focusing on town and county management with minors in economics and community planning. He specializes in making long range planning processes accessible and transparent for citizens and appointed commission members. He is currently working for Jefferson County, WV on their 2045 Comprehensive Plan.
